Research Library Information

The Institute for Economic Advancement (IEA) Research Library is located on the 4th floor of the UALR Reynolds Building, and houses a small non-lending collection. The library serves as a depository for the Arkansas State Data Center and print materials from the U.S. Census Bureau. In addition, it holds a complete hard copy back-catalogue of IEA staff research publications, spanning back to 1955. A selection of more recent IEA publications (2002-) are available as PDFs on the publications page

If you have a research enquiry, you can contact the library and your request will be directed to the relevant IEA department. IEA offers research assistance to UALR faculty and students, researchers, state agencies, the business community, and the general public. 

Topics of expertise include but not limited to the following: Census Data, Economic research, Economic Forecasting, Labor Education, Workforce Analysis & Assistance, Industry and Manufacturing, Economic and Community Development, and Demographics.
