Advanced Certificate in
Economic Development Research

Description:

    

Prepares the candidate to conduct an effective economic development research program for localities, state and multicounty agencies, utilities, and educational institutions engaged in the process of economic development. The program, which can be completed in less than two years, combines on-site instruction, distance learning approaches, independent and/or group study, and exercises related to the participant’s job where possible.

The credits earned toward the Advanced Certificate may be applied toward completion of the Mid-South Economic Development Professional designation.


Requirements:
  • Regional and Community Analysis for Economic Development (2.0 credits)
  • Economic Impact Analysis (1.5 credits)
  • Retail Development (1.5 credits)
  • Additional course(s) (3.0 credits minimum)
  • Exam and/or research project
