Contact the Labor Education Program at 501.569.8483 to schedule a class at a convenient time and place.

In response to several Supreme Court decisions that limited the coverage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Congress recently amended the Act to restore a broad definition of a person with a disability.  Many more employees and job applicants will now be covered.  Come learn the fundamentals of Title 1 of the ADA Amendments Act, which deals with the issues of employment.

Topics include:

  • Who is a person with a disability under the Act?
  • What is reasonable accommodation?
  • What is an essential function
  • Handling requests for reasonable accommodations
